Red, White, and Brew

Red, White, and Brew

Red White and Brew

Get ready to Red, White, and Brew at Stan and Joe’s this Monday on July 4th. To celebrate our Nation’s Independence Day, we wanted to highlight some local breweries right here in Maryland. Plus, what is more American than a cold brew? Check out these beers and stop by on the 4th of July in your patriotic gear to cheers with us!

Flying Dog

Okay, they did start in Colorado, but they now call Frederick, Maryland home. They have a state-of-the-art facility to brew up some excellent beers. From seasonal to year-round and even limited time brews – there is a beer for everyone. Some of their seasonal include Hibiscus Grapefruit, Ancho Lime Paradise Lager, and their popular Blood Orange Ale.tghey even have a Dead Rise that has Old Bay in it! Yup. It’s a Maryland brewery you should try.

Union Craft Brewing Company

Founded in 2011, this company hails from Baltimore, the land of the O’s, Ravens and just damn good beer. Their name stems from the union of water, barley, hops, and yeast. We happen to love that union too. Try some of Union Craft Brewing favorites such as Duck Pin Pale Ale, Old Pro, and their all-American classic Anthem. We recommend checking out the rest of their brews, many with regional tributes to Maryland. We salute you Union Craft, keep on brewing.

Jailbreak Brewing Company

While this might be the youngest of these Maryland breweries, it isn’t to be underestimated. Located in Laurel, Maryland, Jailbreak broke out in 2013. And we are glad they did! If you came in for our recent Tap Takeover, you know what we are talking about. Be sure to try some of their delicious seasonal brews perfect fo summer like their 19th Tea, Ryemin & Stealin’, and Desserted. They also are Kosher Certified. Grab a cold one and taste freedom my friends.

Clipper City Brewing

Haven’t heard of them? Yes, you have, you just know their beers as Heavy Seas. Also from Bmore, their mission is “To sail new brewing horizons, guided by the winds of traditions, and driven by the quest for adventure.” and we think they do just that. Easily considered at the forefront of the Craft Beer, it is hard not to find a beer you will like. Seasonal favorites include Tropi Cannon, Powder Monkey, and Peg Leg. With pirate inspired names, we feel like filling up our black jack or tankard and singing a chantey!

There are many more great breweries in Maryland and throughout the USA. So no matter what you choose, be sure to join us at Stan and Joe’s on Monday, July 4th to raise a glass – for our heroes serving for our freedom, for the freedom to taste great beer, and for this great nation. Cheers!
